Born and raised in Tampa Bay, FL by a couple of hardworking Trinidadian immigrant parents, Angele was always drawn to music, storytelling, and the performing arts in general as a source of joy and companionship. She is eternally grateful for her "only child privilege," her early teachers and the loving support of her parents, all of which allowed her to begin learning piano, dance, tabla and theatre performance at a young age.
Angele graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and after a couple years of national service, moved to Boston, MA to complete her Master's degree at Northeastern University. She soon became connected with the theatre and songwriting communities in greater Boston and found herself developing a more distinct, confident voice as a writer and performer.
Now, Angele works in two worlds: one as a certified career coach for a higher education nonprofit, the other as a theatre performer and writer. In either case, she gets to play an important part in developing stories that matter. She hopes one day to merge those two worlds in an independent coaching practice focused on providing holistic, sustainable career development for artistic professionals and other multi-hyphenates like her.

My writing and performance efforts tend toward themes of identity, acceptance, seeking connection with others and finding meaning in the everyday.
My background as a first-gen Indo-Trinidadian-American woman informs my artistic practice, as do my guiding values of curiosity, kindness, inclusivity and intersectional feminism.
I live in the hyphens -- in fact, I think I do my best work there.
